My poor sewing machine
Yesterday mid way through sewing a toy, my machine made a horrible choking sound followed by lots of banging and a bit of smoke!! Ahh I didn't know what to do! So i ran straight out to Matt (reading in the garden) crying quick we have to get to a machine doctor something is wrong! Have you checked in the manual he replied.....er no not yet said I! So back in I went to try and find the manual and warrenty booklet thinking the worst and that I would never see my machine again. I found the trouble shooting section at the back of the booklet and then saw the words maintence.....humm maintence I have had my machine since Christmas and not once had I performed any maintence, so following the instructions I took a few srews out and to my horror here is what my machine looked like inside:

Kitty Cuddly
Last night I worked on a new Kitty Cuddly, same shape as my Taggy Cats but this one has a tail, guess you could say it's an upgraded version! I like this shape alot and I am hoping to make bunnies, puppies, pigs, bears etc. Just a few things to work on though...I might make it a little bigger and try a diffrent way with the arms and legs! What do you think???

Like riding a bike!
So for some reason yesterday whilst out shopping I had the urge to buy some knitting needles and wool, I think I must have something to do with it being so cold at the moment! Anyway it has been ages since I did any knitting....hum say around 10 years or more so I was abit worried about if I would know what to do! But I googled knitting and as soon as I saw a couple of pictures it all came back to me, just like riding a bike you never forget! So rather than start knitting a scarf which in the past I would always loose interest in after a while, I thought I would have a go at making something alittle more complicated and much cuter that Sebastian could have! Oh and I have also been a huge fan of Julie's blog. She makes the most wonderful little toys I have ever seen! So I am going to have a go one of her free patterns and make a teenie tiny toy! Here is a photo of where I am so far! Not bad I thought! But I need to get a few more needles before I can carry so watch this space......!
Routines!
Sebastian has turned one, School holidays are just about finished, we are back from Grandma and Grandads and slowly we are getting back into our routine! Yey I love routine, we all love routine! Sebastian knows when its time for dinner, naps and bath time and we know when we will get a spare 5 minutes to sit down with a cuppa! Here is a picture of us at Sebastians party, he was a lucky boy and had 2! One with all his playgroup friends and another with family! It was also a bit sad that my side of the family are all the way back in England so couldn't with us to celebrate, but maybe next year he might have a party in England!
I had great fun making the cake! I bought those butter cake mixtures from woolworths and covered it with some yummy butter icing I made using manderin juice!
